Episode Six, November 22, 2014: David Diaz, district manager for the Central Avenue Special Improvement District (SID) in Jersey City Heights talks about the culture; beautification through artists murals and utility box painting; new restaurants and small businesses opening; keeping the transportation on track; tax incentives in the UEZ zone; and the Jersey City Everything Jersey City Festival.

Episode Five, October 22, 2014: Beverly Brown Ruggia, board member of Farms in the Heights talks about the “Riverview Dead of the Dead Celebration” (Dia de los Muertos) which takes place on November 2, 2014 in Riverview Park. There will be a parade with giant puppets which were made by Beverly along with local artists including Santiago Cohen and the community at the Sunday farmers market. There will be Mexican food from El Chilango (truck) and specialty foods from Central Avenue restaurant, Cinco de Mayo (Pan de los Muertos). Gary Van Miert and Malcolm Marsden are interviewed by Susan Newman (aka Suzy Brandtastic) at Mod Cup Coffee’s Warehouse in Jersey City. We discuss their style of music which combines: Country, Blues, Gospel, Soul, Rockabilly and we hear about the New York and New Jersey Music Scene. We discuss the play coming in October, A Legend of Communipaw, which Trish is bringing to the stage, based on a short story by Washington Irving.
